A New Chapter in Technical Weaving at Ribbons Ltd
We’re delighted to announce the arrival and successful commissioning of our new Metag TRX 320 technical weaving loom, marking an exciting step forward in the continued development of Ribbons Ltd.
Following several busy weeks of installation, commissioning and preparation by our team, the new loom is now fully up and running in our UK manufacturing facility.
Expanding our technical weaving capabilities
The Metag TRX 320 gives Ribbons Ltd the capability to manufacture heavy-duty technical webbing up to 320mm wide, significantly expanding our production capabilities and opening up new opportunities for both our business and our customers.
The machine is ideally suited to the manufacture of technical textiles for a wide range of demanding applications. As part of its initial production, the TRX 320 has already been used to manufacture lifting sling webbing, demonstrating the machine's ability to produce strong, high-quality products.
However, lifting webbing is just one example of what this new technology can offer. Its versatility provides us with greater scope to develop and manufacture specialist webbing solutions to meet the increasingly varied requirements of our customers.

A team effort
Bringing a machine of this scale into production is a significant undertaking, and we’d like to thank everyone involved in the installation and commissioning of the TRX 320.
From preparing the production area and installing the loom through to testing, commissioning and getting the machine into full production, it has been a real team effort. We’re incredibly proud to see the machine now running and producing webbing.
The arrival of the Metag TRX 320 is an exciting milestone for Ribbons Ltd, but it’s also the beginning of something bigger.
