What is seatbelt webbing made from?
Seatbelt webbing is typically made from high-strength polyester fibres, designed for durability, low stretch, and resistance to abrasion, UV exposure, and environmental conditions. Some applications may also incorporate specialised coatings for added performance.
How is seatbelt webbing tested for safety?
Seatbelt webbing undergoes rigorous testing, including tensile strength, elongation, and abrasion resistance, to meet strict safety and regulatory standards, ensuring reliability in critical automotive safety applications.
Can seatbelt webbing be customised?
Yes. Seatbelt webbing can be customised. Ribbons also provides cutting, finishing, and treatments such as fire retardant or UV protection to suit specific requirements.
What are your minimum order quantities?
Minimum order quantities depend on the specific product, with a minimum spend of £200 per order.
What webbing widths do you manufacture?
Standard seatbelt webbing is 47-48mm wide, however we can produce bespoke seatbelt webbing up to 75mm wide.
Can you produce bespoke dye colours?
Yes. We can colour match any webbing to a specific RAL or Pantone shade, including one-off runs for seatbelt and other safety-critical applications.
